UNC’s slide got steeper Sunday. The free-falling No. 18 Tar Heels were beaten 80-72 by Virginia Tech at Cassell Coliseum, becoming as another early season stumble from UNC. The Tar Heels, the unbeaten No. 1 team in college basketball 10 days ago, suffered their fourth straight loss, after cutting Virginia Tech’s 18-point lead to three in the final three minutes.
