North Carolina Summons Spirited Effort, Overcomes Ohio State in Overtime


North Carolina no longer is in search of a meaningful non-conference victory over a major opponent. The Tar Heels summoned a spirited effort and overcame 23rd-ranked Ohio State 89-84 in overtime in the CBS Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden, with playing the hero at the regulation buzzer to give UNC new life in the extra period.
