Holiday Bowl notebook: North Carolina coach Mack Brown here for a sixth time

This is the first time North Carolina will play in the Holiday Bowl. It’s the first time for an ACC team to play in the game, for that matter. But the Tar Heels couldn’t have a more knowledgeable guide for the game than head coach Mack Brown. Brown, who was elected to the Holiday Bowl Hall of Fame in 2016, brought Texas to San Diego on five occasions.
