UNC Lands Florida State Edge Rusher Amari Gainer

A day after helping Florida State win the Cheez-It Bowl, Amari Gainer announced on Friday that he will transfer across the ACC to North Carolina. Gainer, a 6-foot-3, 225-pounder, has played linebacker for Florida State. For UNC, though, he was recruited as an edge rusher. Over five seasons, Gainer has played in 45 games for FSU with 18 starts at linebacker.
