When Pete Nance went down in the game’s first two minutes, North Carolina figured to need unexpected contributions to overcome Wake Forest. Although R.J. Davis’ second-half scoring surge — with 22 of his season-high 27 points after halftime — was the Tar Heels’ main spark, they couldn’t have won without the play of Leaky Black and Justin McKoy.
