Task Too Steep at Virginia for Shorthanded Tar Heels

Already missing starter Pete Nance, the task turned too steep for UNC without Armando Bacot, who limped off in pain just 78 seconds into the game after appearing to roll his left ankle. The Tar Heels fell at 13th-ranked Virginia 65-58 on Tuesday, their eighth straight loss at John Paul Jones Arena continuing the program’s slide of futility in Charlottesville.
