Jerrell Rhodes makes Carolina choice official

Jerrell Rhodes has been openly stating his intentions to accept a scholarship offer from North Carolina since June. He finally made it official Monday evening. The Durham running back telephoned the UNC coaching staff and made a his long-awaited oral commitment. Rhodes selected the Tar Heels after also considering scholarship offers from Akron, Ball State, Buffalo, East Carolina and Illinois.
