Tar Heels Lead Nation In Interceptions

With three interceptions Saturday evening against Connecticut, North Carolina now leads the nation with 12. Safety Trimane Goddard, who has four picks through the first five games of the season, it tied for the national lead with 0.80 per game. Eight different players have at least one interception this year. Carolina's 12 interceptions are one more than its total of 11 from a year ago.
