Irish Blarney: Notes from the UNC game
Posted Oct 12, 2008
Earlier in the week, Charlie Weis made it clear: There is nothing worse than going into a bye week off a loss. On Saturday, Notre Dame's coach adjusted his perspective slightly. "I'm glad we're going into a bye week," Weis said following an exhausting 29-24 loss at No. 22 North Carolina. "Because I think that is such an emotional loss that I think whoever we would play this week, it would be tough this week to crank them back up. That was a very disheartening loss."
