The wait was interminable. One minute ... two minutes ... three minutes. ... Although the Kenan Stadium scoreboard clock flashed triple zeros with North Carolina leading Notre Dame 29-24 on Saturday, the game was still far from over. In the stands, the building celebration built like a the storm surge of a hurricane against a defenseless seawall as the officials reviewed a pivotal play for the second time in the game's climactic sequence.
