April 28, 1981: The New York Giants selected North Carolina Tar Heels star defensive player with the second overall pick in the NFL Draft. Taylor would go on to win two Super Bowl titles with Big Blue, an NFL MVP award and three Defensive Player of the Year awards during a first-ballot Hall of Fame career. (New York Post)
