At some point in the 1980s, the University of North Carolina started being described as the University of National Champions. led UNC to two NCAA men’s basketball titles. UNC Field Hockey has won 10. led UNC’s Women’s Soccer to 21 NCAA titles. Last week, UNC added Women's Tennis to its 49 NCAA team championships. (Chapelboro.com)
