UNC's Defense Is Faster, Tar Heels Say

North Carolina defensive coordinator Gene Chizik has elevated the Tar Heels' defensive quickness and speed over the past eight months. Not only has he tweaked some things schematically after adjusting to the changes in college football after doing TV for five years, but he also has focused on his team being exceptional before the football is snapped.
