North Carolina outscored Miami 21-0 in the third quarter. The Hurricanes had minus-6 yards rushing, 32 passing, and turned the ball over twice. In the first six games, UNC now has scored 71 points in the third quarter while allowing just 24. "Gene Chizik has been unbelievable in third quarters," head coach Mack Brown said of his defensive coordinator.
