You’ve got to be lucky and good to have a special season, and UNC football has rarely been both. Mack Brown’s second tenure in Chapel Hill brought renewed hope, because what better reason for hope than an elite QB? UNC has now had two since 2019: Sam Howell and Drake Maye. One already starts on Sundays. The other will almost certainly join him.
