'The Big E made a big difference in this world': Friends and colleagues remember Eric Montross


It’s an image etched in the memory of ACC basketball. There was – the 7-foot center from UNC with the close-cropped haircut, stern facial expression – with blood flowing from his forehead and under his left eye. They were scars from a 1992 battle with Duke. The Tar Heels prevailed that night, thanks in part to the huge presence of Montross. (Greensboro News & Record)
