Rick Duckett was much more than just a basketball coach

Rick Duckett, who was 66 and died on Sunday night, was one of those coaches who got it. I say that because during his three seasons in Winston-Salem coaching the Winston-Salem State basketball team we didn’t talk much about basketball. Back in those days (the late 1990s) you could talk with coaches without ever being on the record and learn so much.
