Wiederer: Heels 'fired up'

Memo to : if you truly want to make this season fast-paced and stimulating and totally unforgettable, convince ESPN to bring its hype machine to every game you play for the rest of the season. Overkill or not, the added spotlight seems to energize the Carolina players. That much was undeniable Tuesday at the Dean E. Smith Center as the Tar Heels took center stage and promptly kicked visiting Kentucky into the orchestra pit. Final score: 77-58. (Fayetteville Observer)
