Cam Thomas wants Butch Davis to know he’s available if North Carolina needs a new weapon in its offensive backfield. UNC’s 6-foot-3, 330-pound defensive tackle used to play a little fullback in high school. “I’ve still got it in me if he ever needs me back there," Thomas said with a chuckle. Fortunately, the Tar Heels aren’t in need of Thomas’ running skills. But they will definitely need his talents on the defensive front Saturday when arch rival N.C. State comes to Chapel Hill.
