North Carolina Can’t Complete Comeback, Falls to Clemson

Tasked with a long uphill climb from the beginning, North Carolina didn’t crumble and didn’t waver Tuesday night, but ultimately couldn’t dig its way out. The third-ranked Tar Heels came up short in an 80-76 loss to Clemson at the Smith Center, perhaps unable to avoid an energy hangover given what they expended three nights earlier in defeating rival Duke.
