In the 2022 Final Four, Caleb Love made a 3-pointer with 24.8 seconds left to give the Tar Heels a 78-74 lead. North Carolina beat Duke 81-77 to advance to the NCAA championship game. Duke's Final Four loss to UNC sent Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski into retirement after 42 seasons with the program. Love’s 28 points in the contest led all scorers.
