Brooks Foster has knee surgery

UNC wide receiver Brooks Foster underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday, the school announced. He is expected to make a full recovery and will spend several weeks rehabilitating, but it is not known whether he will recover in time for the Tar Heels' bowl game. Foster, a senior, was Carolina's second leading receiver this year, snagging 30 catches for 334 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed eight times for 104 yards.
