Drake Maye didn't have to wait long for his name to be called by commissioner Roger Goodell on Thursday in Detroit. The New England Patriots picked him at the top of the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, with the No. 3 overall selection. He's the first UNC player to be taken during the first round since quarterback Mitch Trubisky went No. 2 in 2017.
