Geoff Collins, Tar Heel Defense Prioritize Snuffing Out Explosive Plays


Limiting explosive plays has become a top priority for North Carolina's defense following its home-opening victory against Charlotte, defensive coordinator Geoff Collins said Monday. The Tar Heels surrendered nine explosive plays against the 49ers, with eight coming through the air. Those passing plays resulted in nearly 73 percent of the 49ers' offense. (Inside Carolina)
