North Carolina is ranked No. 10 in the preseason USA Today Basketball Coaches poll, released this week. Kansas was picked first, with 15 of 31 No. 1 votes. The rest of the top five was No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 UConn, No. 4 Houston, and No. 5 Duke. Six through 10 went to No. 6 Iowa State, No. 7 Gonzaga, No. 8 Baylor, No. 9 Arizona, and No. 10 UNC.
