It took five weeks—three wins against bad teams and two off weeks—to build back good feelings after a four-game losing streak. There was a thought that UNC somehow could finish 8-4 and have a storybook ending to a season that was expected to go so much worse. Then they got off the bus in Chestnut Hill. Or at least some people in UNC uniforms did.
