The Tar Heels led 63-59 with 6:32 to play but scored only two points the rest of the game, missing 10 of their final 11 shots. UNC led 44-34, its largest lead in a loss this season and third time in the last four games it lost when leading by seven or more. UNC's 21 second-half points were the fewest second-half points since scoring 21 at Virginia in 2018.
