Amid rise in applications, UNC acceptance rate decreases 7 percent in 5 years


In the past five years, the University of North Carolina has experienced a consistent rise in the number of applicants seeking admission to the University. During the 2019 college application cycle, UNC received just under 42,500 applications and during the 2024 application cycle, it received over 66,000, according to the University’s common data set.
