Receiver-Tight End Alex Asher to Walk On at UNC

Alex Asher, a tight end/wide receiver hybrid (6-4, 214), has decommitted from FCS national champion Richmond in order to accept an invitation to walk on at UNC:
“It’s been my dream since I was child to play in the ACC,” Asher said. “I’ve put so much prayer and thought into this decision and everything has been pointing towards North Carolina. I’m incredibly excited.”
Asher is Central Virginia's all-time receiving leader according to the Charlottesville Daily Progress and is rated the #102 tight end prospect in ESPN's recruiting database.
Asher is not listed by the Scout.com recruiting service, but Rivals.com has him listed as a two-star prospect. He also had a scholarship offer from Ohio University and boasts a 1700 SAT score.
