Ex-Heel Clay Roberson reacts just in time
Posted Jan 29, 2009
Clay Roberson said he first learned how to "read and react" when he was a freshman football player at UNC. That lesson was never so important as Monday night. Roberson, a former linebacker for the Tar Heels, was driving on I-40 when he saw an Isuzu Rodeo and van collide near the Wade Avenue exit. He pulled over and was on his way to help when an 18-wheeler careened across the median and missed Roberson's parked vehicle by about 20 feet.
