Lucas: Crowd Management
Posted Jan 29, 2009
When Ty Lawson's one-footed 3-pointer swished cleanly through the net--the first Tar Heel walk-off win as the buzzer expired since Brendan Haywood hit a follow shot against UNC-Charlotte on Dec. 12, 1998--a raucous crowd went quiet. The players and coaches shook hands. A Civic Center task force of security guards briskly took the court, standing shoulder-to-shoulder. They were unnecessary. There were no court-stormers anywhere to be found.
