NFL Update: Super Bowl XLIII
Posted Feb 3, 2009
Former Heels Willie Parker and Jeff Reed won their second NFL title with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Parker rushed for 53 yards on 19 attempts and Reed converted two field goals of 18 and 21 yards to help lead Pittsburgh over Arizona. Deep snapper Greg Warren, a 2004 UNC graduate, suffered a severe knee injury earlier in the season and is on the Steelers' IR list. He was unable to play Sunday, but still with his teammates for the victory.
