Two more assistants are leaving the football staff at North Carolina, with linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen heading to Auburn and tight-ends coach Steve Hagen on his way to the Cleveland Browns. Coach Butch Davis of UNC said in a prepared statement yesterday that he appreciated the work of both after they helped UNC double its win total from 2007 and reach the Meineke Car Care Bowl last season.
