UNC football takes a hit

Linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen and tight ends coach Steve Hagen became the second and third assistant coaches this month to leave UNC. Thigpen, a UNC alum, will coach the secondary at Auburn; Hagen will join the staff of the Cleveland Browns. John Lovett, UNC's special teams coach, also left to become defensive coordinator of the Miami Hurricanes.
