Dexter Strickland, St. Patrick's take title


St. Patrick's of Elizabeth claimed the NJSIAA Boys' Basketball Tournament of Champions trophy for the third time in four years with a 73-57 victory over Science Park of Newark last night at the Izod Center in East Rutherford.

Junior Kyrie Irving scored 26 points for top-seeded St. Patrick's, taking home the game MVP award. , who will attend North Carolina in the fall, added 14. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
