Although he didn’t initially come out with the first- or second-string offenses, Jamal Womble had arguably the most impressive performance on offense. “I felt the whole spring I’ve been doing well and I’ve been competing very hard,” Womble said. “I felt like once I got the first carry, I got the jitters out.” Womble, a red-shirt freshman, had a game-high 50 yards on seven carries.
