If North Carolina coach Roy Williams was pulling for his former employer to reach the Final Four on Sunday, he was a lonely creature in this town. Davidson-mania spread wherever a television beamed the Midwest Regional final, won by Kansas in a 59-57 survival. When Jason Richards’ 27-footer missed the mark as time expired, groans and shrieks of anguish filled the Graham Student Union. Nary a Rock Chalk Chant was heard.
