Hakeem Nicks, Aaron Curry selected in first round

Hakeem Nicks went exactly where he expected in the NFL Draft, Aaron Curry ended up further west and Richard Quinn came out of nowhere. It was an eventful first day of the NFL draft, which saw four players from the state get drafted in the first two rounds. Nicks, the receiver from the University of North Carolina, went 29th to the New York Giants, as expected.
