They would have both been watching Sunday, when UNC rolled to another Sweet 16. Of that, everyone seems sure. Eve Carson, the student body president, who once was so eager to get on the video screen during a Duke game at the Dean Smith Center she showed up in a blue prom dress. Jason Ray, for three years the mascot cavorting around the basketball court in a ram outfit during timeouts. But now they are gone. Tragic clouds in a Carolina blue sky.
