Thompson, Stepheson shine with rest of Heels

Deon Thompson and Alex Stepheson have erased memories of their poor performances in the ACC Tournament. Thompson and Stepheson were active, productive and gave UNC an overwhelming advantage in the Tar Heels' 113-74 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Thompson was 6-for-8 from the floor, and, he scored 15 points in only 19 minutes of action. Stepheson had a career-high 12 points.
