Posted Sep 11, 2009
Auburn safeties coach Tommy Thigpen will be facing one of his closest mentors Saturday night in Mississippi State defensive coordinator Carl Torbush. Thigpen played at North Carolina for Torbush, who was an assistant coach and later head coach for the Tar Heels. Thigpen later served as Torbush's graduate assistant as he broke into coaching. "He's probably one of the best guys I've ever met," Thigpen said.
