Yes, it was an FCS opponent. But that's how the schedule shook out. Carolina drew Georgia Southern at the right time. The 42-12 victory was the single most complete performance of the Tar Heels' season. The defense helped the offense both by scoring and giving their teammates short fields on which to work. The offense helped the defense by taking advantage of those opportunities.
