A.J. Blue, Jamal Womble to have surgery

UNC tailbacks A.J. Blue and Jamal Womble both sustained injuries in the Tar Heels' 42-12 win over Georgia Southern. Womble, a redshirt freshman from Sierra Vista, Ariz., fractured his right wrist covering the game's opening kickoff. Blue injured his left knee during the fourth quarter. Both Blue and Womble will undergo surgery Friday at UNC Hospitals and their status will be updated following surgery.
