UNC football commit P.J. Clyburn to have knee surgery
Posted Dec 3, 2009
Basketball is officially out of the question for West Iredell senior P.J. Clyburn. And that's not all. Clyburn, who gave his verbal commitment Tuesday to play football for North Carolina, knows now he has a torn meniscus in his right knee. He sat out the Warriors' first two basketball games. Clyburn said he sustained the injury Nov. 6 in the Warriors' regular-season finale versus Statesville.
