Carl Torbush on his way to Kansas

Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen is looking for a new defensive coordinator. Carl Torbush, who called the shots for State’s defense in Mullen’s first season in Starkville, is joining new coach Turner Gill at Kansas. Torbush spent three seasons (1998-2000) as the head coach at North Carolina, compiling a 17-18 record. He also coached the Tar Heels to victory in the 1997 Gator Bowl. (Biloxi Sun Herald)
