Pitt clips UNC in Meineke Car Care Bowl

Pitt tailback Dion Lewis became the most prolific freshman ground-gainer in school history Saturday night, bumping legendary Tony Dorsett to second place. At the end of the Meineke Car Care Bowl, Lewis carried the load, including 13 carries on a 17-play, 79-yard scoring drive that erased 8:47 off the clock. But it was freshman kicker Dan Hutchins who sealed the deal before a crowd of 50,389 at Bank of America Stadium. (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)
