Marcus Ginyard sidelined with sprained ankle

Fifth-year senior guard Marcus Ginyard sprained his right ankle and will not play in North Carolina’s game Monday evening against Rutgers. Ginyard suffered the injury on a drive to the basket during Saturday evening’s practice. He is also doubtful for Wednesday’s game against Albany. Ginyard is Carolina’s third-leading scorer at a career-high 11.0 points per game.
