Tar Heels finally have something to smile about

With their 69-62 win against Miami, UNC not only emerged from the ACC cellar, but they also sent seniors Marcus Ginyard and Deon Thompson out as winners. In the process, UNC became only the second program in college basketball history to win 2,000 games. It was an accomplishment that was celebrated with commemorative t-shirts, a framed jersey with the number 2,000 stitched onto it and a postgame ceremony.
