Reggie Bullock, Kinston headed to state championship


For the third time in four years, the Kinston High School boys’ basketball team will be playing for a state championship. The 2008 3A state champion Vikings defeated Clinton in the NCHSAA 2A East regional finals, 83-52 on Saturday, to advance to next week’s title game. That contest will be held at N.C. State’s Reynolds Coliseum at 2:30 p.m. March 13 against West Caldwell or Sylva Smoky Mountain. McDonald’s All American and UNC signee earned regional Most Valuable Player honors after scoring 29 points and recording 10 rebounds and six assists on Saturday. (ENC Today)
