Tar Heels land WR commitment
Posted Mar 9, 2010
One of North Carolina's recruiting priorities for the Class of 2011 was to land an athletic wide receiver who could make plays after the catch. The Tar Heels got their man last Sunday when T.J. Thorpe of Durham's Jordan High School gave them an oral commitment. Thorpe became the second member of UNC's recruiting class two days after making an unofficial visit to Chapel Hill last Friday. The Tar Heel coaching staff laid out its plans for the 6-foot, 175-pounder during that time and that sealed the deal for Thorpe.
